District 8 includes the Elmwood commercial neighborhood, the historic Elmwood Theater and the Claremont Hotel, the newly-renovated Memorial Stadium, Cal’s beautiful International House, several dorms, and most of UC Berkeley’s fraternities and sororities. Gordon Wozniak is the current District 8 Councilmember. He has lived in D8 for more than 40 years, and was first elected to City Council in 2002. He was reelected in 2006 and 2010, and his current term ends in November 2014. Click here to read Gordon's entire bio.
