PSBM Lynne Ohlson - Support Services Division
Lynne Ohlson grew up in Antioch, graduated from Antioch High School and California State University, Sacramento. After graduation she operated a non-profit bookstore and was a founding director of a women’s employment and training program in Sacramento.
She was hired at Sacramento Police Department in 1989 as a Crime Analyst, promoted to Management Analyst to oversee the Operations Division budget, Court Liaison Unit and responsible for Police Department approval of municipal issued permits (dance, taxi, tow, gundealer and others) as well as liaison to the City Planning Commission for Crime Prevention through Environmental Design review of new building projects. She left Sacramento to join the San Rafael Police Department in 1999 to oversee the department’s budget, grants and act as worker’s compensation and Planning liaison. In 2007, she joined the Berkeley Police Department as the Public Safety Business Manager.
Director Ohlson is currently the division commander of the Support Services Division.
