    Zoning Ordinance Amendment:  Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs):  The proposed amendment to the City’s Zoning Ordinance (Berkeley Municipal Code Title 23) would bring Berkeley’s local Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Ordinance, found in Section 23D.10, into compliance with California Government Code Section 65852.2. The proposed changes are required by State law and will facilitate construction of new ADUs and conversion of existing accessory buildings and structures to ADUs as a means to increase the supply and diversity of housing in Berkeley.
