Strawberry Creek Park offers recreational opportunities, including basketball, tennis, and volleyball, as well as a school-age play area and space for picnicking.

History
 Strawberry Creek Park was built on the site of the Santa Fe Railroad freight yard. The creek was reopened and restored to its original course, with California native plantings for low maintenance. The park was funded with monies from Measure Y, the bond passed by voters in 1974 to meet the recreational needs of Berkeley’s citizens, and from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). The park was dedicated on November 5, 1983. The landscape design received the highest Environmental Planning Award in a Neighborhood Park category from the California Parks and Recreation Society in 1984.
