The Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Program offers testing, treatment, counseling as well as education and outreach to help prevent STIs.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING DATES FOR FULL OR PARTIAL CLINIC CLOSURES 

  • Tuesday, May 14, 2013 through Thursday, May 16, 2013
    The following Public Health Clinic programs will be CLOSED due to a staff training: 
    Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infection Prevention & HIV Testing, Tuberculosis Testing and Immunization services.
    **The WIC Program will remain OPEN during this time.
  • Monday, May 20, 2013
    The Public Health Clinic will be CLOSED in observance of Malcolm X Day
  • Monday, May 27, 2013
    The Public Health Clinic will be CLOSED in observance of Memorial Day
  • Tuesday, May 28, 2013
    The following Public Health Clinic programs will be CLOSED due to a staff training:

Services

Confidential testing, diagnosis, treatment, counseling and education for individuals who think they may have a sexually transmitted infection (also called STI, STD, or VD).  This includes diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, etc.  

More important information:

  • A painless urine test is used for gonorrhea and chlamydia testing.  
  • A blood test is used for syphilis and the conventional HIV test.
  • Rapid HIV Testing requires a finger prick and takes only 30 minutes to receive results
  • Many methods of  birth control available

Free and low cost services based upon income and family size.
