Information About Testing
This service includes counseling (risk assessment, risk reduction discussion and referrals) and is performed by a certified HIV counselor. Most counseling sessions take 20-30 minutes. With rapid testing, results are available in 20 minutes. With conventional testing, results take one week.
If you drop in, please arrive as early as possible in the shift. The HIV testing walk-in clinics have very limited spaces.
In addition to getting tested during one of our HIV testing walk-in clinics, we also offer HIV testing during an appointment for an exam and other tests for sexually transmitted infections. For an appointment call (510) 981-5350.
For more information about our HIV counseling and testing, please call (510) 981-5350.
