Avian Influenza A (H7N9) Virus, a new strain of avian or “bird” flu, that is infecting people for the first time in China. The virus is not spreading person-to-person, and there have been no cases outside of China. Public Health officials are monitoring the situation closely. The Public Health Division is working with Berkeley healthcare providers to assist them in evaluating any suspected cases of this flu virus.
