Councilmember Laurie Capitelli
Welcome to the District 5 website. In addition to the information available here, my office sends out periodic e-newsletters with information about crime alerts, community meetings and citywide issues and policies that directly impact District 5 residents. To be included on that mailing list, please send my office an email with “newsletter” in the subject line.
In the Office – Legislative Assistants
District 5 is lucky to have two long-time Berkeley residents attending to constituent services. They are in the office Monday through Friday responding to requests for service and information.
Jill Martinucci has lived in north Berkeley since 1985. She and her husband are Berkeley business owners and the parents of two children who attended and graduated from the Berkeley public schools. Jill is a long time school volunteer, serving as Jefferson School PTA President in 1995-96, an active member of the League of Women Voters and former boardmember of Berkeley Community Media. Before working in the public sector, Jill was a union electrician and an artist. She brings to the office eight years experience working on local policy and constituent issues.
Pam Gray is a resident of the Thousand Oaks area. She is a mother of three, a public school volunteer and current member of the City's Parks and Recreation Commission. In her spare time she kayaks and volunteers to provide accessible sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults with physical disabilities.
