Project Description:

A. Base Bid: EAST PARKING LOT. Removal of existing asphalt concrete paving, base material, fencing, light poles and other minor site items; minor site grading; new base material and asphalt concrete and Portland cement concrete paving; new irrigation and landscaping; lighting; storm drain facilities; artificial turf area, pre-fabricated restroom and restroom utilities; installation of accessible gangway and associated float and abutment at existing middle small boat dock; and other minor site amenities within the east parking lot.

B. Additive Bid Item No. 1. WEST PARKING LOT. Removal of existing asphalt concrete paving, base material, light poles and other minor site items; minor site grading; new base material and asphalt concrete and Portland cement concrete paving; new irrigation and landscaping; lighting; storm drain facilities; and other minor site amenities within the west parking lot.

C. Additive Bid Item No. 2. FLOATING DOCKS. Removal and replacement of two existing small boat floating docks (east and west);

D. And ancillary work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.

Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Visit: City will conduct a Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the South Cove Parking Lot and Restroom Project, 201 University Ave, Berkeley, CA 94710. The Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will last approximately two hours.

Duration:

Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion as follows:
1. The ADA Accessible Gangway and associated facilities by March 31, 2017.
2. The East Parking Lot Paving by March 31, 2017.

Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of the entire Work one hundred and eighty (180) Days from the Commencement Date.

17-11096-C - Tunnel Road Access Improvements and Ashby/Telegraph Intersection Improvements

Scope of Work: The work to be done along Tunnel Road consists of constructing bulb-outs, new concrete sidewalk, storm drainage modifications, traffic signal modifications, traffic striping and signing, traffic pavement markings, inductive loop detector installation, flashing beacons and accessible curb ramps. The work to be done at Ashby and Telegraph consists of traffic signal modifications. This work includes, but not limited to, the removal of existing conditions, saw-cutting, removal of existing pavement, curb, gutter, and sidewalk, as required, cleaning of street as necessary, repair of failed areas, leveling, asphalt concrete surfacing, adjusting to grade such City structures as are affected by the work, and traffic control.

California Contractor License Classification required: A - General Engineering.
