Current Policy Projects


The Land Use Planning Division is responsible for preparing long-range
policy plans to guide the future development of Berkeley, including the
General Plan and area plans.  It also manages regulation of land uses in
the City through changes to the Zoning Ordinance.

The Berkeley Planning Commission administers decisions on changes
to the Zoning Ordinance.  The link to the Planning Commission homepage
provides access to current and past agendas and minutes. The agendas
contain links to staff reports on proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments.
