DISTRICT 4 STAFF

Anthony SanchezANTHONY SANCHEZ, Chief of Staff (asanchez@cityofberkeley.info)

ANTHONY SANCHEZ is Councilmember Arreguin's Chief of Staff and is in the District 4 office every day to help answer questions, provide information, help solve constituent problems, and advise on and develop public policy. Anthony comes to City Hall with years of experience working in California politics and government. A 2007 graduate of Stanford University with degrees in Communication and Creative Writing, Anthony served for a year after graduation as a Senate Fellow in the office of State Senator Joseph Simitian, where he staffed the Senator on the Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee and carried several bills--all of which were signed into law by the Governor. He has worked with non-profits such as the First Amendment Coalition and has also worked as a political consultant for TBW Media in San Francisco. He has worked on several successful campaigns, including managing a recent parcel tax measure campaign for the San Ramon Valley School District which won with 72% of the vote. He has also served as a Commissioner on the Berkeley Housing Advisory Commission and formerly served as the Vice President of Membership for the East Bay Young Democrats.

AUDREY GUTIERREZ, Legislative Assistant (agutierrez@cityofberkeley.info

A native of Berkeley, Audrey was introduced to the concept of public service at age eight, as a Girl Scout troop meeting in the middle of District 4. With her cookie selling days behind her, she’s still committed to serving the community in Berkeley and happily does so as a legislative assistant to Councilmember Arreguin. She is in the office daily and is primarily focused on constituent services and office administration. Audrey has worked for the City of Berkeley for over three years, and joined the District 4 office in February 2014. She serves on the City of Berkeley’s Animal Care Commission and is the office point of contact for the Berkeley Homeless Task Force.
