Scope of Work: The work to be done consists of, but is not limited to, the rehabilitation and construction of 1001 linear feet of 8-inch diameter sanitary sewer pipe via pipebursting (Method 'B'), manhole rehabilitation, excavation of approximately 821 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch diameter sanitary sewer laterals, and related work.

Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference:

a. Contractors are encouraged to attend an onsite Pre-bid Conference of the planned scope located within the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) Right of Way (Berryman Rate Control Station). The conference is scheduled on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. The entrance to the facility is located at the intersection of Scenic Avenue and Rose Street in Berkeley, CA 94708.

b. If there are no contractors in attendance, the site will be locked at 11:00 A.M. and contractors will no longer have access to the site.

c. Pictures of the site are provided herein for reference only. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to verify field conditions prior to bidding and performing the work.

d. All questions must be received in writing no later than 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 16, 2014. See below for additional information regarding Questions and Addendums.
